About Us
Welcome Everyone to Ekcheō Int'l Art Co.!
Who We Are:
Our names are Kyle and Liana Sopt, and we are the owners of Ekcheō.
What We Are:
An art compnay trying to reach out to all other artists around the world and inspire, encourage, and teach how we can use our talents as worship!
Why:
Ultimately, we love God, and we want Him glorified through everything we are capable of. We know that many of us have some kind of artistic talent. However, our talents don't just come out of thin air, they are gifted by God. Instead of hiding them or using them for personal gain and fame, we want to teach you that we can use them to glorify His name!
What Does Ekcheō Mean:
Ekcheō is Greek for "To Pour Out". What that means is that we want to pour out our oil through our artistic talents.
What Is Our Oil:
Oil is anything we use to serve the Lamb of God. In the Bible, it talks about pouring out our oil back onto Jesus as a call to prioritzie our relationship with Him above all else. It means we devote our time, our talents, our resources to glorify Him!
God pours out His oil onto us all the time. This is where our talents and giftings come from. So we will pour out God's own gifting as worship.
Art is my oil! And we want to encourage you to pour yours out with us too, however you can!
Our Story
Kyle's business background began when he and his brother started a car business together as young 20 year olds. They bought broken down cars and either fixed them up to resell, or took auto parts from no longer drivable cars to resell as well.
Liana's creativity was something she's been passionate about since being a little girl. She had a space in her parents' house where she practiced arts and crafts. As a teenager, she created a few small business to be able to share her talents with others.
Eventually, Liana started a small art business at the age of 18 that she ran by herself. Although she had some experience in business, she didn't know much about running one, other than being creative in it. She prayed that God would send her a husband who would be in charge of the business side of things - someone who understood budgeting, bills, and efficiency.
At age 19, she met Kyle... They quickly fell in love and decided to marry one another a year later. It didn't take long for them to know that the Lord was calling them to do this art business together. They sat with the Lord on many occasions to decide on a name, brand identity, and company values. Ekcheō, as you know it today, is what came out of these meetings.
Now, with Kyle's strategic mind-set and Liana's creativity, they are running an art company that will be discovered from around the world, all to have the viewers' eyes redirected to be fixed upon Jesus.
